Steven Sim is the proud owner of the first Mark 11 Fords in Scotland from Coleman Milne. Pictured outside his premises in Glasgow is his first Ford Dorchester limousine that replaces his old Ford Fleet.
Steven said he was ‘excited’ about his new addition and eagerly anticipates his new Cardinal Classic hearse due for delivery in April. Here are the first pictures of the new sloping floor Iveco from Mellor in build. At present the company offers two floor arrangements. Both the stepped floor arrangement and flat floor through options incorporate 4 steps within the vehicles.
The new sloping floor option has only three steps with the sloping floor feature making the vehicle easier for clients to access and manoeuvre wheelchairs.
Mellor expect the new addition to be available early June.

The new improved B Pillar on the Iveco daily from Mellor has received praise from its users. By slimming down the B Pillar Mellor have reduced blind spot problems and increased visibility for the driver.
The first of the modified B pillar’s have been fitted to East Ridings vehicles and will now come as standard.

Mellor are one step closer to offering their customers full vehicle type approval after passing yet another of the schemes standards. NSSTA (National Small Series Type Approval) is a UK national scheme aimed at low volume manufacturers who intend to sell only in the UK. The scheme is designed to maintain ECWVTA standards, whilst minimising compliance costs for companies that usually fall into SME category.
The company are one of the first UK Coach built manufacturers to offer this and are aiming for completion by the end of the year. The vehicle has 84 standards is has to pass before being fully type approved, the latest being the vehicle ‘Tilt test’
The Tilt Test is a test for vehicle stability and simulates road conditions on vehicles over 5 tonnes.
